Abstract: In recent years, professional education has experienced significant growth with the creation of new campuses and increase in the supply of different levels courses, especially the higher level. This significant growth brings conflicts between professional education profile and teachers were not trained to act in different levels of education and deployed courses. This symposium aims to discuss the theories and practices of teacher of portuguese and foreign language inserted in the context of training in integrated secondary level, subsequent technical or higher technology. In a scenario of new technologies with their languages and their different texts, media, forms and uses, teachers feel challenged to reorganize their teaching practices to effectively meet new demands of writing learning in professional training courses. The reflections include an interpretation of the theoretical and methodological procedures to identify representations built on the act professor of maternal and foreign language professional education as well as discuss the implications of the unique training for language teaching in a professional context education level medium built, subsequent technical or technological as well as reflect on the practices that should guide this language teaching in a world of work context.
