Title: DISCOURSE AND SENSE

Coordenator/Institution:
ANA ZANDWAIS (UFRS)

Abstract: This Symposium aims to encourage the exposition of studies that reflect on the functioning of senses in different genders of discourse, like formal discourses as the scientific discourse, the  scientific gender of massive circulation, pedagogical discourse, juridical and political discourse, as well as those discourses that are not recognized by the society yet for incorporating patterns of informal practices which characterize the  ways of production of social forces that are marginalized as, for example, the discourses of open air farmers market, street vendors, hawkers of different merchandises which work informally, garbage collectors and recyclers of garbage, etc. The researches to be presented can be based in different theoretical-methodological conceptions like: a) semiotic studies of Russian trends developed by members of Bakhtin Circle; b) semantic studies structured in conceptions of French theories of enunciation and discourse developed by authors like Michel Pêcheux, Jean Jacques Courtine, Dominique Maingueneau and Jacqueline Authier-Revuz.
